Progress Report
Things I think have improved since last year:
• I stopped being pathologically God-fearing.
• I let go of a certain burden, the one that showed up as constant stress about other people.
• My sensitivity to human stupidity has gone down; I can endure more now.
• Less PTSD1, more calm.
Things I want to change next year:
• I want to find a job, even if it's just part-time or weekends.
• I want to buy fewer cheap gadgets and knock-offs. Save for things that last.
• I want to do more sports, or maybe just more steadily.
• I want to keep more lasting friendships.
• I want to stay organized—in my calendar, on my computer, and around it.
• I want to meditate more.
1 PTSD: Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Persistent psychological response to trauma including flashbacks, hypervigilance, avoidance, and emotional dysregulation. Here, measured not by its presence but by its reduction—"less PTSD" as progress, as if trauma were volume that could be turned down.
